Warm and cosy

Our cottage at Le Hamel as been fully insulated on all floors, with the exception of a beautiful exposed granite fireplace and stone wall in the lounge/dining room.

Each room has it's own modern electric heater and the windows are all brand new and double glazed, making  the heat retention very efficient with no condensation.  This creates an atmosphere of 'old French cottage, but with all of the luxuries of a sympathetic modern renovation'.

Chill out

We have a large supply of logs in the barn to keep the wood burning stove going through those frosty winter nights.  What better way to spend the weekend going on a walks through the woods or hills, and coming home to a roaring log fire, bottle of french Wine, and sampling the fine food from Friday's market in Brecey.

There's a plentiful supply of videos, games and books to help you unwind, and the ambience of Le Hamel will mean that this is about as far away from stress as you can get!

Le Mont St Michel at night

For a special evening out, go to Lt Mont St Michel after dark.  It's winding mediaeval streets create a wonderful atmosphere.
