Our beautiful renovated 1850`s Normandy cottage farmhouse is just 5mins drive from the small friendly town of Brecey.  The location is perfect for exploring the best that Normandy has to offer, including Le Mont St Michel and the D-Day beaches.  This Normandy cottage is within easy reaches of some fine beaches, and there are beautiful walks, drives and cycling routes in the immediate vicinity.  

Our Normandy cottage is set in ¼ acre of farmland where you will find an apple orchard, which is perfect to sit amongst in the summer with a bottle of wine or even the Hamlet's very own cider! There are parking spaces for four cars and there are two outbuildings.

The house is in a small hamlet and used to be the bread making house for the neighbourhood.  The bread oven can still be seen in one of the outbuildings.  The setting is a real 'retrait', far away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.  The charming elderly neighbours may well even offer eggs, or fruit from their smallholdings.  The only noise is that of the country, so be prepared for chickens, geese and sheep, some of whom tend to visit!

In the evening you're likely to spot the odd owl swooping between the hedgerows, and hares playing in the neighbouring fields.  It really is being back to basics with all the luxuries of a renovated farm house.

The 150 year old Normandy cottage has been renovated to a high standard by local French artisans who have maintained the character and charm of the house whilst providing all the modern comforts including excellent insulation, heating, en-suite facilities and wonderful Godin wood-burning stove.  Our house is perfect not only for family summer holidays but for winter breaks as well.

All the beds can be freshly made and towels are provided.

There will be a supply of biscuits, beer and wine to which you may help yourself and replace by the end of your stay.
